We offer work experience to anyone who is 14yrs +. You can volunteer for 2 hours per week upwards. This was the first project where Status and the Job Centre Plus worked together. It gave 21 young people the chance to gain 6 months work experience over 2 years using the community gardening project, as a tool to engage the young people. This catapulted the youngsters into the jobs market and helped many of them to actually find employment But more importantly it gave young people the opportunity to keep themselves active and in the job market. They did training and skills and kept them motivated with positive aspirations.

We feel it is a shame to stop this project and hope that one day the government start this scheme again.
